How to work out the right water tank size for your home

A tank that is too small means frequent refills; too big wastes space and money.

1. Estimate daily use — the most practical way is to note how many days your current tank lasts after a known tanker size.
2. Pick your buffer — how many days it should last without a refill.
3. Calculate — required size = daily use × buffer days, plus a small margin.
